Underfloor heating systems are an ideal choice for the distribution of thermal energy in the room, whatever the system of production of this thermal energy (heat pump, oil, LPG or gas boiler, solar heating, etc.). The space is heated evenly at constant low temperatures without creating air currents as is the case with radiators, fan coils, etc. and the temperature distribution in the space is the best possible.
In addition, due to the operation at low temperatures, close to room temperatures, it ensures better hygienic conditions and achieves high energy savings compared to conventional heating with radiators.
Therefore, while the installation of a floor heating system offers a number of advantages, these systems are characterised as highly demanding, both during the installation process and for their effective and efficient control.

Smart Wireless Control of Underfloor Heating - Selection of devices:
For upgrading existing underfloor heating installations and creating autonomy zones, without the need for wiring, since all devices communicate with each other wirelessly.
1. KL08RF – Wiring centre for Underfloor Heating for 8 autonomy zones with wireless communication.
The KL08RF Wiring Centre is mounted on the central manifold of the installation and offers a range of outputs including hot water and pump/boiler switching. In addition, it has built-in pump and boiler control outputs – works with NC or NO actuators
It is also possible to extend the autonomy zones desired for the underfloor heating system by installing the KL04RF - Wiring centre extension for up to 4 additional autonomy zones.
2. Thermoelectric actuators for opening and closing the circuits of the underfloor.
The Thermoelectric Actuators are placed in the central manifold and control the opening or closing of the flow of the heating medium in the underfloor circuits, providing temperature control. They receive power supply and open/close orders from the Wiring Centre.
A choice can be made between the following thermoelectric actuators:
- Auto balancing actuator SALUS THB23030 – for automatic hydronic balancing. (RECOMMENDED)
The SALUS THB23030 replaces the simple thermoelectric actuators which are installed in the manifold of the underfloor heating system.
Using temperature sensors for supply and return, the SALUS THB23030 Auto balancing actuator has the ability to dynamically balance the flow from each circuit to ensure the ideal thermal comfort in the room.

Thermoelectric actuator SALUS T30NC - normally closed NC.
- Thermoelectric actuator ENGO E30NC230 - normally closed NC.
Thermoelectric actuators SALUS T30NC & ENGO E30NC230 are designed to control underfloor heating installations. They allow the opening or closing of the flow of heating medium in a loop, providing temperature control and work directly with room thermostats or via wiring centres (wired or wireless).
NC actuators are closed devices, which means that when there is no current, the actuator closes the loop. The status of the head can be quickly checked thanks to the indicator element.
3. Smart Thermostats for wireless connection
The KL08RF wiring centre operates in wireless connection with the wireless thermostats of the SALUS Smart Home series in order to control the respective circuits of the desired underfloor heating. We select as many thermostat pieces as the number of autonomy zones we wish to have. Ideally we install one thermostat per room.

A choice can be made between the following thermostats:
- The premium SALUS wireless thermostat Quantum SQ610RF (RECOMMENDED)
- Wireless Weekly thermostat SALUS HTRΡ-RF(50)
- Wireless Daily Thermostat SALUS HTRS-RF(30)
- Wireless Thermostat SALUS TS600 (for control via app only)
Smart Wired Control of Underfloor Heating - Selection of devices:
For new installations or for existing installations where the wiring from the thermostats to the underfloor collector already exists.
1. Wiring centres for underfloor heating with SALUS wired communication.
In case there is wiring from the thermostats to the collector e.g. in a new installation, we can use a wired Wiring Centre, such as:
- KL08NSB – Wiring centre for underfloor heating for up to 8 autonomy zones with wired communication SALUS

The KL08NSB Wiring Centre receives orders from the wired thermostats and immediately gives commands for opening and closing to the thermoelectric actuators. It has an integrated pump and boiler control module and overload protection.
Number of controlled zones can be increased by using additional KL04NSB extension modules.
- CB500 – Wiring centre for underfloor heating for up to 5 autonomy zones with wired communication SALUS
The CB500 Wiring Centre has a built-in unit that controls the heating and cooling sources and allows you to switch between these functions. It is equipped with voltage-free outputs designed for boiler, heat pump or chiller control and 230V voltage outputs for a pump and actuators. The spring clamps provide quick and convenient wiring connections. The control box is designed to work with NC (normally-closed) type actuators.
It is also possible to expand the desired autonomy zones for the Underfloor Heating System by installing the CB500x - Wiring Centre Extension for up to 5 additional autonomy zones.
- CB500x – Wiring centre/ Extension without control unit for underfloor heating for up to 5 autonomy zones with wired communication SALUS
The CB500x operates independently as a wiring centre or as an extension of the CB500 for up to 5 additional autonomy zones. The control box allows to control 5 different zones. Number of controlled zones can be increased up to 15 zones by connecting CB500X extension modules to the CB500 unit. The spring clamps provide quick and convenient wiring connections. The control box is designed to work with NC (normally-closed) type actuators.
2. Thermoelectric actuators for opening and closing the circuits of the underfloor.
The same thermoelectric heads, SALUS T30NC or ENGO E30NC230 or SALUS THB23030, are used as in the intelligent wireless control.
3. Smart Thermostats for wired connection
Since we choose one of the wired KL08NSB or CB500 or CB500x wiring centres, we will necessarily choose a wired thermostat.
