The first information for the new energy upgrade program of buildings has been announced, it will be called "Save-Autonomy" in Greek ("Εξοικονομώ-Αυτονομώ") and will be valid from the autumn of 2020.

NEW PROGRAM SAVE HOME 2019 in Greek ( "Εξοικονομώ Κατ΄Οίκον'')
The submission of applications for the second phase of the program "Saving at Home 2019" will begin on September 16, successively per group of Regions on the electronic platform of the basement.
The total budget will be 270 million euros, allowing energy costs and footprint to be reduced to at least 25,000 households.
Key changes in relation to the first cycle are that:
- the upper limit in the 7th income category is abolished
- for the inclusion of the declared construction or use in a law for the settlement of arbitrary constructions, the payment of at least 30% of the total of the uniform special fine must be recorded.
The maximum subsidy rate for each building will range from 50% to 70% for energy upgrade works while the remaining percentage can be covered either by bank lending or by equity. The specific limits will have increased percentages by 5% per protected member.

The Save program offers significant incentives (up to 70% subsidy) to upgrade energy efficiency and increase the value of your property, saving money & energy. What subsidy rate am I entitled to?
In the new program, the maximum budget of the upgrade plan can reach € 25,000 (€ 250 / m), with a maximum subsidy rate of 70%. The remaining percentage can be covered either by bank lending or by equity.

* In the 7th category, no grant is granted but a loan at 100% of the eligible budget and an interest rate subsidy.
A prerequisite for joining the program is an energy inspection by an energy inspector, who will issue the required Energy Performance Certificate. Then, the interventions will be selected according to the findings / results of the inspection, in order to achieve the maximum energy savings and the maximum improvement of the energy efficiency of the houses. Following the implementation of the interventions, a second energy inspection will be carried out to check whether the objectives set have been achieved.
Basic Conditions for Joining the Program
- The property should be used as a MAIN RESIDENCE,as shown by the most recent E1 of the person using it.
- To exist legally, to have a building permit or other relevant legal proof that proves it. All exceedances must be settled before submission, and a certificate of termination must be issued proving the payment of the single special fine.
- To be classified in an energy category less than or equal to D, based on the Energy Performance Certificate.
- The owner of the property must be a natural person with the right of ownership (full or partial) or usufruct in an eligible residence.
- The individual income should not exceed € 40,000 and the family income € 50,000.
-To have passwords provided in the Taxis Net application by the Applicant - Beneficiary.
- Any outstanding issues in E1 and E9 have been settled as well as the indication of the electricity supply number in the above, before the submission.
-The consent of the co-owners must be ensured (in cases of co-ownership such as usufruct, small, full ownership of the same property).
What work does the Home Save program ( Εξοικονομώ Κατ' Οίκον) cover?
The works subsidized by the new Save Home (Εξοικονομώ Κατ' Οίκον) 2018 are:
The replacement of the heating system.
The installation of alternative sources of hot water supply (solar water heater ).
The installation of heat pump.
The external thermal insulation in the shell of the building (concerning the thermal insulation of walls, rooms and floor).
Insulation - roof thermal insulation.
The replacement of frames with new more energy efficient as well as shading systems.
