The 12th Panhellenic Symposium of ANDRIANOS, held in Kalamata on October 18-19, 2024, was a resounding success. The symposium focused on "The HVAC Industry After 2030," with all presentations addressing the challenges and opportunities of the next decade, in line with the European Directive 1275/2024 and the New National Climate Law 4936/2022.
The symposiums organized by ANDRIANOS have become an institution and an integral part of its educational initiatives. This highly successful symposium was attended by experts from 20 companies in the Thermal Comfort industry from various regions of Greece. Participants actively attended presentations and seminars that focused on the future challenges and opportunities for the HVAC industry created by the new National Climate law, as well as the latest technological updates and industry strategies.

The symposium covered the following topics in detail:
- The particularly interesting "Study on the Cost of Heat Production from Various Sources & ZEB and nZEB Buildings, according to the current European and Greek legislation," presented by Mr. Andreas Karageorgis, Mechanical Engineer, NTUA, and ANDRIANOS external consultant.
- "Challenges and Opportunities in the HVAC Sector After 2030" by Giorgos Ch. Andrianos - Electrical Engineer, AUTH, MBA, and CEO of ANDRIANOS.
- "New Central & Non-Central Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems from the leading manufacturer Blauberg," presented by Yevgenii Bodnar - Product Manager at BLAUBERG.
- "The importance of automation and Smart Home Systems and their Impact on the Energy Efficiency of Buildings," presented by Mr. Panagiotis Kokkoroyannis - Computer Engineer & Smart Home Expert at ANDRIANOS.
- "The Future of Photovoltaics in the Greek Market and their key Role in the House of the Future," presented by Mr. Mourtzanos - Electrical Engineer, PhD, and CEO of SOLARWAY.
- "Energy Savings through the Use of Solar Thermal Systems for Domestic Hot Water Production, Heating Support & Industrial Processes," by Mr. Elias Braimis - Production Engineer, MSc, Technical Division at ANDRIANOS.
- The BLAUBERG company, which presented its vision and new strategy for the Greek market through its collaboration with ANDRIANOS, led by Mr. Alex Pavlenko - Global Business Development Manager at BLAUBERG.
- The AHI CARRIER Southeast Europe company, highlighting the latest trends in heat pumps that shape sustainable building solutions and its 10+ years of collaboration with ANDRIANOS, presented by Mr. Dimitris Panagos - Sales Manager, Professional Networks.
- ARISTON GROUP GREECE, presenting its vision and new strategy for the Greek market and its 8+ years of collaboration with ANDRIANOS, with speakers Mr. Giorgio Stroppa - Managing Director and Mr. Konstantinos Kathreptis - Residential Sales Manager
As part of the symposium, there was also an on-site presentation of a seven-story climate and energy-neutral building. The ZEB building, which has been operational since July 2023, stands as a model of energy efficiency, featuring innovative heating, cooling, mechanical ventilation, smart building systems, a perfect shell, and the use of solar energy for domestic hot water production with a solar thermal system, as well as electricity generation with a photovoltaic system, achieving complete energy self-sufficiency.

Delegates said they gained valuable knowledge and had the opportunity to exchange views with the presenters and their colleagues, further strengthening their relations with each other. At the same time, they were informed about all current issues in the industry, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of heating, air conditioning, thermal comfort and energy saving.
