The world's population is growing, which increases the demand for drinking water. At the same time, climate change is causing more frequent droughts in many areas. As a result, drinking water is becoming scarcer and more valuable. We should also remember that water needs to be transported and purified before we can drink it—processes that require a lot of resources and money. That’s why saving water is important, even in countries that do not currently face serious water shortages.
A large part of water consumption comes from Domestic Hot Water (DHW), which requires a lot of energy to heat. This means that every liter of hot water we save also helps reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.

Water and Energy Savers – What They Are and How They Work
Water savers are small devices that can be installed on faucets and showerheads in bathrooms and kitchens. They help reduce water use instantly, without affecting comfort.
These devices work by mixing water with air, creating a steady but lighter flow that still feels full and pleasant. This way, you get just the right amount of water—no more, no less. As a result, you save both water and energy while also helping the environment, all without changing your daily habits or comfort level.
Water savers are easy to install on almost any type of faucet or showerhead, making them a simple and effective way to reduce water and energy consumption.

Types of water economizers
There are two types of water savers: "restrictors" and "dynamic flow savers."
Type A: Water Savers with "Restrictor"
The most common option is a fixed nozzle designed to allow a predetermined flow at a specific pressure. These products are called "restrictors." By definition, "restrictors" provide insufficient flow at low pressure and excessive flow at high pressure.

Type B: Water Savers with Integrated Water Regulation Technology – Dynamic Flow (PCA)
The flow regulator works by pressure compensation and produces, through the o-ring seal, a nearly constant flow rate regardless of pressure fluctuations.
In static conditions (no flow or low-pressure flow), the elastomer is loose (Position 1 in Image 2). When there is a dynamic state (water flow), the elastomer, which is under pressure, compresses at the installation point, reducing the water flow (Position 2 in Image 2). As pressure increases, the elastomer compresses further at the installation point, further reducing the water flow (Position 3 in Image 2). As the pressure decreases, the elastomer loosens and reopens the water passage (returning to Position 2 and 1 in Image 2).

WATER & ENERGY SAVING TIPS
In order to enjoy clean and high quality drinking water and water for use in every facility, in every part of the world, while contributing to the proper and sustainable management of water resources, it is essential to ensure the rational management of water.
What is certain is that water is a precious, natural ally of the human body throughout our lives and even more so - as has recently been proven - in times of health crisis, while the quality and quantity of water we consume on a daily basis is a factor that, over time, can affect our physical and mental health.
It is therefore important to remember that saving water is a responsibility that we all share together. Precisely because the value of drinking, healthy water is invaluable to each of us, it is our duty to contribute in every way possible to the global effort to preserve the "transparent gold" that is a "source" of life for humanity and our planet. It is the least we can do for the multiple benefits it provides us with on a daily basis.
To achieve this, rational planning of the water supply network is essential. The factors affecting the necessary quantity of drinking water supplied may vary, but with the right actions and measures, this can be achieved.
So how can we ourselves contribute to the effort to protect and properly manage water?
Things are much simpler than we think, and the beginning in this case will be made at home:
α. First of all, by checking our plumbing to detect any possible leaks and by choosing modern household appliances that do not increase unnecessary water waste but contribute to the protection of the environment, we can take the first steps towards a more sustainable future.
β. Equally important (although most of the time it is difficult for us to "move" from our routine) is to change our personal habits, by limiting the amount of water we consume during the day - for example, while we are bathing or washing our face or hands or shaving or washing our dishes - and at the same time setting the right example for the younger members of the family. In this way, we will be taking a small but important step towards protecting a common and 'precious' commodity such as drinking water.
c. By implementing & using at the water supply points of buildings (wash basin taps/sink/shower taps, bathrooms, etc.) water saving products that allow us to protect the environment and save water, without having to give up the level of comfort we are used to.
